Every Person In America Should Have The Same Basic Medical Coverage Policy. That policy should cover most major and catastrophic treatment plans. Treatment plans need to be approved by the medical physicians. Major medical needs to be treated in facilities that care for patients that are in need of major medical care and treatment procedures.
Minor medical diagnosis and treatment could be treated in facilities that are cost prohibitive. Saving money on facility expenses is the number one priority in reducing overall cost in medical care in America.
Criteria should be included with checking diagnostics and treatment of patients. Over checking is not necessary. Under checking with respect to criteria is not good.
Checking patients treatments with criteria saves lives and money. Misdiagnosis can lead to substantial losses to hospitals. Always check criteria in diagnosis.
Supplemental policies with emphasis on drug coverage and major medical coverage is the best policy to work with Medicaid in providing access to necessary care. If you don't or can't care, the costs can go much higher in the long run. Diagnosis and logical treatments are key to solving the problem of coverage.
A cost of 2500 dollars to a facility to check a minor medical issue, such as diaper rash, should actually cost one tenth of that. So, why the cost of 2500? It's because of the expense to see the patient in that specific location. Another facility could cost, in actual terms, one tenth of 2500, to see the patient for the same problem. That would be 250 dollars in actual cost.
Multiply the 2500 dollars in actual costs by the thousands of facilities that practice cost transference and you begin to understand the magnitude of the problem with hidden expenses.
So, how can that problem be solved? You might ask yourself. Well, it can be improved upon by installing lower cost per patient facilities that do initial check ups, diagnostics by MD's, and give care at true cost. I call those facilities minor care facilities. Spend 250 instead of 2500 in actual cost and you will get true reductions in policy expenses. It wont take long to start saving money on minor medical care.
Supplemental policies for Medicaid can work in much the same way that Medicare supplemental policies work. That is one area that the federal government can take the lead in orchestrating requirements and coverage plans.
These two fundamental ideas will help considerably. This simple plan can save Medicaid, improve coverage, and save billions in taxpayer dollars. Please, seriously consider what I am saying here.
