I didn't know if Curley and Schultz - ex Penn State University officials - knew about the imposter posing as Sandusky at Penn State or not. If they did then they are trying to reduce their sentences by claiming they knew Sandusky was guilty, when they are really just covering for their knowledge and cover up of the framing of Sandusky. By admitting that they knew Sandusky was guilty, it is actually Curley and Schultz admitting that they took part in framing Sandusky.
It would be a lesser crime and punishment to lie about Sandusky than to admit their involvement in framing Sandusky.
Schultz and Curley lying about Sandusky still does not mean that he is guilty.
