My name is Don Robbins. I am the actual owner of Capitol Records. SONY did not buy Capitol Records, it was stolen from me.
The Beatles songs were never , legally, released by Capitol Records to be sold to anybody to in turn sell. The songs were never released so Michael Jackson bought the songs illegally He was swindled, in a way. The person who had the songs before him also had no rights to sell the songs that were owned by Capitol Records or owned jointly by Capitol Records and the Beatles.
Sony did not purchase the rights to the songs, legally , from Micheal Jackson's estate after he died. The actual rights to the songs are still under Capitol Records. Sony has no right to Capitol Records. The actual owner of Capitol Records did not sell any rights to any songs. The actual owner of Capitol Records did not release copyrited material before or after 1986.
Capitol Records was sold illegally.
The material and song copyrights were illegally transferred into independent labels before 1986 under the authorization of the executives at Capitol Records. The transactions were not OK'd by the owner.
The authorization of the transfer of the songs after 1986 was also not by the owner of Capitol. Neither was conversations to that matter ever made between the executives and the owner of Capitol Records. Nothing about selling rights to songs or other such matters was ever discussed between the owner of Capitol Records and the executives or independent labels run by executives outside of Capitol Records.
The Beatles songs are in part the property of the Capitol Records owner and the members of the Beatles. Whatever agreements were made - legally- concerning those songs between the owner of Capitol Records and the Beatles still stands. No other agreements verbally, or in writing have been made.
Only Capitol Records has the legal rights to the Beatles songs along with the Beatles.
Some music by the Beatles is owned by the Beatles or other parties.
All other songs are still in legal matters the property of Capitol Records.
Properties stolen from Capitol Records and the illegal sale of the company was not legal. The owner of Capitol Records is Don Robbins (me) and I did not release the rights of any song from Capitol records from 1968 - from the date that I became the owner of Capitol Records until this date 1-21-17. January, 21- 2017.
If Mr. McCartney wants the songs from the actual Capitol Records he can contact me. My email is donrobbins4@gmail.com
I would be happy to make arrangements with Paul McCartney and company for the release of the songs owned by Capitol Records. The Capitol Records company needs to be returned to the owner before anything can be done concerning the songs. Thank you.
Please understand, I became ill in 1986. I knew nothing of the company after that point until a later date. By 1993 the company was sold to SONY corporation. I did not sell the company to SONY. That is true. But, the rights to songs that people claimed were sold by the company are not actually theirs. In reality I knew nothing about the company between 1968 and 1986. I was informed that I was the owner of the company in 1985/86 when I was in California.
After 1986 I became ill and did not contact the company after that except to make a withdraw from an account on another business matter where I had purchased land in west Texas. I also forgot about that land and didn't remember until later.
I actually met Mr. McCartney in the mental hospital in London once. I still remember. But I don't think he knew I was the owner of Capitol Records.
Tell the judge about the crooks stealing Capitol Records from me.
When the law has the company rightfully returned to me I will talk to you about having the rights to the Beatles songs returned.
Any other transactions dealing with Capitol Records holdings would not be legal. SONY is not Capitol Records. SONY purchased Capitol Records illegally. I did not sell any songs from Capitol Records, period, ever. And I did not sell Capitol Records. I did not authorize funds taken or songs or rights taken over by other labels.
Capitol Records should legally, still belong to me.
-Don Robbins (Owner Capitol Records)
