If the Dakota Pipeline is built, how long will it be before it's turned over to a Canadian oil company to be used to transfer oil from Canada to the coast, through America?
The joint venture between Conoco-Phillips and the Canadian company fracking oil just over the border, gave the Canadian company rights to cross lands in America. After the pipeline was built, Conoco-Phillips sold their interests to the Canadian company. Conoco - Phillips now has interests in the Dakota access pipeline. Does that mean that as soon as the pipeline is built that they will sell the pipeline to the Canadians?
This would be a form of a replacement for phsase 4 of the Keystone pipeline that was stopped.
*Of the Canadian pipeline (Keystone Pipeline) Phases 1/2/3. The fourth phase was stopped. The Dakota Access Pipeline would be a suitable replacement for the 4th phase of the Keystone pipeline. If that is the actual reason that they want to build the Dakota Access pipeline. I think it is.
The pipelines should be considered a public utility. That would stop the trick of acquiring right of ways for American companies and then selling the projects to the foreign companies.
In that circumstance of tricking the government into letting them build the Keystone Pipeline across states as an American company, the Keystone Pipeline should be shut down.
